Expat Psychology & Migration Therapy

Moving abroad takes courage. But putting down roots in a new country — navigating language barriers, cultural differences, loneliness, questions of identity and belonging — can feel like too much to carry alone. I live this too. I understand it from the inside.

Do any of these sound familiar?

I feel lonely and isolated
I don't know if I belong here
Language barriers exhaust me
I miss my family and friends deeply
I'm struggling to adapt to life here
I'm anxious about work and my career
I can't decide whether to stay or go back
I feel homesick in a way I can't explain

How I work

As someone who lives the expat experience in Germany myself, I understand it from the inside. With CBT and Existential Therapy, we explore identity, belonging and meaning together. The goal: to feel like yourself, and to feel at home — even here.

How does a session unfold?

01

I listen to your story

We explore your migration journey, what's been hard, and what's kept you going.

02

Identity & meaning

We work on integrating who you are across two cultures and finding what grounds you.

03

We build roots

We help you create connection, support, and a sense of belonging in your new life.

Questions you might have

Can I have therapy in English from Germany?

Yes. I work online in English with internationals living in Germany and across Europe.

I can't decide whether to go back. Can you help?

Yes. This is one of the most common expat dilemmas. Together we can clarify your values, priorities, and what you actually want.

Do you only work with expats?

No. I work in English and Turkish with people from many different backgrounds.

How long does migration stress last?

It depends entirely on the person and circumstances. Therapy can meaningfully shorten and ease the process.

You don't have to navigate this alone.
